TestReach will now deliver assessment online for the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply - Press Release, 15th March 2018
Dublin, 15.3.2018: TestReach, providers of innovative technology that allows any type of exam to be run and invigilated over the Web, today announced that the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) will now work with TestReach to transform how they deliver assessment to their membership base worldwide.
CIPS is the premier global organisation serving the procurement and supply profession, and provides an extensive range of training and qualifications to professionals who wish to accelerate learning and development in this specialist field. MCIPS is recognised worldwide as the standard for procurement professionals and to use this designation, members must successfully complete the Diploma, Advanced and Professional qualifications plus three years’ experience in a role of responsibility in procurement and supply. CIPS run over 80,000 assessments annually through a worldwide network of 300 test centres, and these assessments will now be run on TestReach.
“This is a very important development for CIPS because running our assessments online will mean greater flexibility for candidates, the ability to sit assessments more frequently and from a range of locations, and also increased security for the exam papers,” said Group Director Amanda O’Brien at CIPS. “TestReach enables us to offer an innovative and user-friendly way for candidates to sit their assessments on a computer, while maintaining the validity, integrity and reliability of the exam process,” she added.
The world of exams and assessment is changing rapidly, and this decision by CIPS reflects the growing need for professional organisations to change not only how they deliver their course material, but also how they deliver their final assessments. “Students want the flexibility both to study and to take their assessments online, using a computer-based environment they are familiar with,” continued O’Brien. “Most people write and work on computers now, so online assessments are a natural step. It’s less tiring than using pen and paper, it’s easier to edit answers and you get your results much more quickly.”
